Miguel and Becky Aguirre

Miguel was born in a small, rural town in southern Venezuela. From the time he was little, his mom taught him about God and took him to a very missions-minded church. When Miguel was 18, he visited an ethnic tribal group in the jungle to the south of his hometown and God began to work in his life to invite him to get involved in cross-cultural ministry. When Miguel was 21, he traveled to the neighboring country of Colombia to attend a Bible Institute and missionary training school. During his time in Colombia, he met Becky.

Although Becky was born in the U.S., her family arrived in Colombia when she was a baby to serve as full-time missionaries as her parents desired to work among an unreached people group. After a few years in Colombia, her parents joined a team working with a tribal group in the Amazon jungle in the southeastern part of Colombia and worked there for many years. Growing up observing her parents living and working among an unreached people group challenged Becky to also become involved with cross-cultural ministry.

After completing their cross-cultural missions training, Miguel and Becky have served in full-time ministry in Venezuela and Mexico since 2005. They have been involved in supporting church planting teams among unreached people groups, mission mobilization, coordinating church partnerships, assisting churches interested in becoming more involved in missions, training indigenous pastors and teaching English at a university for indigenous people groups. Becky has a Bachelors in Elementary Education and has homeschooled their four children. Becky also has training and experience helping missionaries with resources for their personal and spiritual growth and development (member care). Miguel and Becky currently serve as associates with Paraclete Mission Group.
